EPCOS / TDK Inrush Current Limiters

EPCOS/TDK Inrush Current Limiters are designed to limit current at turn-on through high resistance when cold. These current limiters have low power dissipation when the resistance is reduced by a factor of 10-50. The inrush current handling capability of an inrush current limiter is better than that of a fixed resistor with the same power dissipation. This family of current limiters is used in applications such as switch mode power supplies and soft start motors.
