Texas Instruments ISO7840/ISO7840F Quad-Channel Digital Isolators are high-performance quad-channel digital isolators with 8000V VDE standard isolation voltage. The device has stronger isolation performance and meets VDE, CSA, CQC certification standards. These isolators have high EMI immunity, low emissions and low power consumption while isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/O. The logic input and output buffers of each isolated channel are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ) insulating barrier. The ISO7840 has four forward channels and no reverse channel. If the input power or signal is lost, the default output for ISO7840 is HIGH and ISO7840F is LOW. When used with isolated power supplies, the device prevents noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering local system grounds and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits.
