NOVOSENSE Launched a New High-Precision, Low-Temperature Drift, Low-noise, Low-power Voltage Reference Source NSREF30/31xx Series

NOVOSENSE launched the new NSREF30/31xx series products, which provide high-precision reference sources for data sampling, and are widely used in photovoltaics, industrial automation, digital power supplies, charging piles and other fields.

 

NSREF30/31xx series products include two sub-series, NSREF30xx and NSREF31xx, each sub-series can be divided into 6 different models, corresponding to different output voltages. Each product has vehicle-grade and industrial-grade models, among which the vehicle-grade products meet the reliability requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade1 and can work in the harsh environment of -40~125°C.

 

NSREF30/31xx achieves high initial accuracy and low temperature drift performance. Its initial accuracy is ±0.2%, which means that its output accuracy is guaranteed to be within two thousandths of the ideal value at room temperature. The black box method commonly used in the industry is used to evaluate its temperature drift. Performance, the temperature drift of NSREF30xx is 10ppm/°C typical, 35ppm/°C maximum, while the temperature drift of NSREF31xx is 5ppm/°C typical, 15ppm/°C maximum. In this way, it is guaranteed to help customers realize the high precision of ADC sampling in the whole temperature range.

 

At the voltage reference output end, the low frequency 0.1Hz~10Hz noise output is an important part of ADC sampling error.

 

NSREF30/31xx adopts advanced sampling technology and special low-noise design. It only outputs 20uVpp (typical value) noise at 2.5V, and the noise distribution is relatively convergent. The 1sigma value is less than 2uVpp. This greatly reduces the influence of low-frequency noise on ADC sampling errors. Under the premise of ensuring low noise, it only consumes 130uA (typical value) current, making it suitable for industrial field transmitters, power, portable measurement equipment and other working scenarios.

 

Line regulation indicates the ability of a voltage reference output to remain stable as the input power varies. In the occasions where the power supply voltage is unstable or susceptible to interference, the low power supply regulation rate can make the sampling accuracy free from the influence of unstable power supply voltage or interference on the power supply. NSREF30/31xx can provide a low power supply regulation rate of 20ppm/V at 2.5V output .

 

The corresponding load regulation represents the ability of the voltage reference output to remain stable as the input supply varies. NSREF30/31xx can provide 8uV/mA load regulation.

 

Thanks to the good internal loop design, NSREF30/31xx only requires the input voltage to be 1mV higher than the output voltage to output the normal operating voltage (except for NSREF3012/3112 which requires a minimum operating voltage of 1.8V), which is very suitable for scenarios where the power supply voltage may drop Friendly, such as battery power, the battery voltage will decrease. NSREF30/31xx does not require output capacitance. It can work normally without connecting the output capacitor, and it will not cause abnormal operation due to failure or failure of the connected capacitor. With the increase of the output capacitor value, the range of capacitor value that can support the stability of the loop is very wide, and can be adapted to different Application circuits and scenarios expand the boundary conditions of its application.
