Description: The epc90x are derivatives of the epc901 line imager chip and offer higher speed with one line of 128, 256 or 512 pixels, compared to the epc901 chip with 1024 pixels. All imagers have in common that they can store a total of up to 4 frames in the frame store for ultra high-speed image acquisition (fast acquisition / slow read out). They all have in common a high performance video amplifier (single ended / differential) analog output for highest SNR. This allows the user to select his interface of choice. The acquisition of the image is automatically controlled by a hardware control signal. Once the acquisition is completed, the imagers set a ready signal. The transmission of the frame is controlled by the external control signal READ. When a read-out is initiated by a pulse on the READ signal, it is sampled by a CDS stage. After a fixed delay the frame can be shifted out through the video amplifier by applying the appropriate number of read clock edges.
