Texas Instruments ISOUSB211 High/Full/Low-Speed Isolated USB Repeater is a USB 2.0 compliant, electrically isolated repeater that supports low-speed (1.5Mbps), full-speed (12Mbps), and high-speed (480Mbps) signaling rates. The ISOUSB211 features automatic speed detection and connection, pull-up/pull-down reflection, and link power management to support plug-in USB hubs, hosts, peripherals, and cable isolation. Additionally, the device supports automatic role swapping; if a new connection is detected on the upstream port after a disconnect, the upstream and downstream port definitions are reversed. This feature enables the ISOUSB211 to support USB On-The-Go (OTG) and Type-C Dual Role Port (DRP) implementations.

TI's ISOUSB211 repeater has built-in programmable equalization that eliminates signal loss due to board traces, helping to meet USB2.0 high-speed TX and RX eye mask requirements. The device uses a silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ) insulating barrier, can withstand voltages of 5000V RMS , and has an operating voltage of 1500V RMS . Used with isolated power supplies, the device provides high voltage protection and prevents noise currents from the bus from entering the local ground.

The ISOUSB211 design provides basic and reinforced isolation. The device supports a wide ambient temperature range of –40°C to +125°C and is packaged in a small SSOP-28 (28-DP).
