Description
exas Instruments ADS886x 16-Bit SAR Analog-to-Digital Converters Texas Instruments ADS886x 16-Bit SAR Analog-to-Digital Converters are 16-bit single-ended input analog-to-digital converters. The device operates from an external 2.5V to 5V reference, providing a wide range of signal range options without additional input signal scaling. The reference voltage is set independently of and beyond the analog supply voltage (AVDD). The devices provide an SPI-compatible serial interface that supports daisy-chain operation to cascade multiple devices. An optional busy indicator (only on ADS8860, ADS8861, ADS8862, ADS8863, ADS8864, ADS8865) allows for easy synchronization with the digital host. Device operation is optimized for very low power operation. Power consumption is directly proportional to speed. This feature makes the ADS886x ideal for low-speed applications.
