Description
The UCD90160A is a 16-rail PMBus/I2C addressable power sequencer and monitor. The device integrates a 12-bit ADC for monitoring up to 16 supply voltage inputs. 26 GPIO pins can be used for power enable terminal, power-on reset signal, external interrupt, cascading or other system functions. Twelve of these pins provide PWM functionality. Using these pins, the UCD90160A supports margining as well as general PWM functions. Specific power states can be achieved using the pin select rail state feature. This feature allows the use of up to 3 GPIs to enable and disable arbitrary voltage rails. This is useful for enforcing system low-power modes and the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification for hardware devices. With the fault pin function, multiple devices can be easily cascaded and coordinated so that they respond to faults synchronously. This TI's Fusion Digital Power™ designer software is used for device configuration. This PC-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides an intuitive interface for configuring, storing and monitoring all system operating parameters. characteristic • 16 Voltage Rails Can be Monitored and Sequenced • All Rails Sampled Every 400µs • 12-Bit ADC with 2.5V, 0.5% Internal VREF • Sequencing Based on Time, Rail, and Pin Dependency • Per Monitor Features 4 programmable undervoltage and overvoltage thresholds • Non-volatile error and peak logging per supervisor (up to 12 fault detail entries) • Closed-loop margining capability for 10 voltage rails • Margin High-degree output adjustable rail voltage to match user-defined margin threshold Programmable watchdog timer and system reset Multiple power sequencers can be easily cascaded and coordinated to provide fault response Pin select power available Rail status function for ACPI support • Flexible digital I/O configuration • Cascadable multiple devices • Responds to and monitors faults triggered by GPI • Multiphase PWM clock generator • Clocks from 15.259kHz to 125MHz • Capable of Synchronous Switch Mode Power Supply Configuration Independent Clock Output JTAG and I2C/SMBus/PMBus™ Interfaces application Industrial and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Telecom and Networking Equipment Servers and Storage Systems Systems requiring sequencing and monitoring of multiple power rails All the evaluation(0)
