The TLE7259-2GE is a transceiver for Local Interconnect Network (LIN) with integrated wake-up and protection functions. It is specially designed for in-vehicle networks using data transmission rates from 2.4 kBaud to 20 kBaud. TLE7259-2GE acts as a bus driver between the protocol controller and the physical bus in the LIN network. The TLE7259-2GE complies with all LIN standards and operates over a wide range of power supplies, making it suitable for all automotive applications. Through different operation modes and INH output, TLE7259-2GE can control external components such as voltage regulators. In sleep mode, the quiescent current of TLE7259-2GE is less than 8μA, meanwhile, it still has wake-up function when detecting LIN bus traffic and local wake-up input. With very low leakage current on the mains pins, the TLE7259-2GE is especially suitable for partially powered networks and supports the low quiescent current requirements of LIN networks. Based on Infineon's Smart Power Technology SPT®, the TLE7259-2GE features excellent ESD robustness and high electromagnetic immunity (EMI). The TLE7259-2GE has extremely low electromagnetic emissions over a broad frequency range, independent of battery voltage. Consistent with DMOS power devices on the same monolithic circuit, Infineon's Smart Power Technology SPT® allows bipolar and CMOS control circuits. Both the TLE7259-2GE and Infineon's SPT® technology are AEC certified to withstand harsh automotive environmental conditions.
