Description
The TPS6302x devices provide a power solution for products powered by two- or three-cell alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH, or single-cell Li-Ion or Li-polymer batteries, supercapacitors, or other power rails. Supports up to 3A output current. When using a battery, it can be discharged below 2V. The buck-boost converter is based on a fixed-frequency, pulse-width-modulated (PWM) controller that uses synchronous rectification for maximum efficiency. At low load currents, the converter enters a power save mode to maintain high efficiency over a wide load current range. Disabling power save mode forces the converter to run at a fixed switching frequency. The maximum average current for the switches is 4A (typ). The output voltage can be programmed by an external resistor divider, or fixed on-chip internally. The converter can be disabled to minimize battery drain. During shutdown, the load is disconnected from the battery. The TPS6302x devices operate over the temperature range of –40°C to 85°C in a free-air environment. The device is packaged in a 3mm × 4mm (DSJ) 14-pin VSON package. characteristic • Input Voltage Range: 1.8V to 5.5V • Adjustable Output Voltage: 1.2V to 5.5V • 2A Output Current at VIN > 2.5V, VOUT = 3.3V • High Efficiency Over Full Load Range • Quiescent Operating Current : 25µA • Power Saving Mode with Mode Selection • Average Current Mode Buck/Boost Architecture • Automatic Transition Between Modes • 2.4MHz Fixed Frequency Operation • Synchronizable • Power Good Status Output • Safe, Reliable Operation Features • Overheating and Overvoltage Protection Protection • Load disconnection during shutdown • Create custom design with: • TPS63020 using WEBENCH Power Designer • TPS63021 using WEBENCH Power Designer All the evaluation(0)
