The TPS1663x features adjustable overcurrent protection and a power good output (PGOOD). PGOOD can be used to enable and disable downstream DC/DC converter control. The shutdown pin enables external control of enabling and disabling of the internal FETs and placing the device in a low current shutdown mode. For system status monitoring and downstream load control, the TPS1663x provides fault and accurate current monitor outputs. The MODE pin can be used to flexibly configure the device between two current-limit fault responses (latch and auto-retry).
The device is available in a 4mm × 4mm 24-pin VQFN package and is specified for operation over the –40°C to +125°C temperature range.
