The low-impedance switches of the TPS6281x-Q1 converters can support up to 4A of continuous output current in high temperature environments. The device can externally adjust the switching frequency from 1.8MHz to 4MHz and can also be synchronized to an external clock within this frequency range. In PWM/PFM mode, the TPS6281x-Q1 automatically enters a power saving mode under light load conditions to maintain high efficiency over the entire load range. The TPS6281x-Q1 provides 1% output voltage accuracy in PWM mode, which facilitates power supply designs with high output voltage accuracy.

Via the SS/TR pin, the start-up time can be set or the output voltage to be tracked to an external source can be tracked. This feature enables external sequencing of different power rails and limits inrush current during startup. The TPS6281x-Q1 is available in a 3mm x 2mm VQFN package with wettable flanks. The TPS6281x-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
