Taiwan, China's Semiconductor Output Value Exceeded NT$4 Trillion Last year, Foundry and Packaging and Testing Ranked First Worldwide

Taiwan's semiconductor industry has experienced half a century of development. In 2021, the semiconductor output value will reach NT$4.1 trillion, an annual increase of 26.7%.

In terms of subdivisions, the output value of IC design industry exceeded 1 trillion yuan, reaching 1.21 trillion yuan, an increase of 42.4%; the output value of IC manufacturing industry reached 2.22 trillion yuan, an increase of 22.4%; the output value of IC packaging industry reached 435.4 billion yuan, an increase of 42.4%. 15.3%; the output value of IC testing industry was 203 billion yuan, an increase of 18.4%. The foundry and packaging and testing industries rank first in the world, and the IC design industry ranks second in the world, second only to the United States.
